Vidya Bhavan Public School, Gwalior was founded on April 8th 2002 from Play Group to Class V, with strength of approximately 325 students. Each year one class was added and in year 2009-2010, it became a full-fledged Senior Secondary School offering Humanities, Commerce and Science Streams with Biology & Maths. Today we have more than 1800 students. Excellent Board results are maintained since then, due to perseverance and continuous efforts of the trained teachers.

Vidya Bhavan Public School, Gwalior is able to mark a special impression on the minds of its students from past two decades. The world has transformed since 2002 and yet, the essence of ‘Vidya Bhavan’ remains unchanged. The easy going environment of the school and easy to approach staff members are the eminent features of the school which makes the students and also their parents comfortable. The unique combination of intellect, knowledge, life-sustaining skills and accomplishment of hobbies through activities is at its core. We welcome the children to become a part of it to contribute and become a force of positive change, a testament to the power of education, and a living embodiment of ‘Vidya Bhavan’ legacy.

The biggest challenge for teachers of Pre Primary Section is to make children love the school and its environment. They should have such a good time here that they want to leave home and come to school happily everyday. Our entire curriculum for the toddlers is planned keeping this in mind.

The Primary Section is crucial to learning the basics of everything. Once the children are happy and settled, they are eager to learn and pick up everything very fast. Each new concept is introduced to them in a play way method. Their interest in art and craft and co-curricular activities is given a lot of time to develop.They are also exposed to the house system where they learn to build team spirit and mentor each other in learning.

SENIOR SCHOOL
At the middle level students are introduced to Sanskrit as a third language. The House System now works to develop healthy competitive spirit among students so that they may try to excel in their chosen endeavour. They are also exposed to various new activities like Graphic Novel making, Travel and Tourism and Financial Literacy under Skill Education program of CBSE.

At the Secondary and Senior Secondary level a lot of time and attention is given to identifying the interest and aptitude of each student. They are motivated to choose their subjects accordingly. We offer the three main streams of Science, Commerce and Humanities. Along with the core subjects, they can also opt for Painting, Physical Education, Vocal or Instrumental Music. From class VIII onwards our students vie with each other to get a chance to join Naval NCC.
Once selected they wear their uniforms with pride and patriotism.

While students are tech-savvy, they also face new challenges like information overload and screen addiction, leading to issues such as poor focus and aggression. At Vidya Bhavan, students begin each day with a prayer followed by ten minutes of Anapana—focusing on natural breath to connect with oneself. This technique is an important asset for them to understand and overcome negative traits.
